Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - Review

Genre: Slice of Life / Romance / Comedy
No. of Episodes: 12
My Rate: 9/10

This shoujo anime was surpisely good. At first I thought that the main female character will be extremelly annoying and stupid (as I experience this in Brother Conflict and Diabolik Lovers). Yes, she was a bit at the start and she is a bit of an idiot but as the anime progresses, there is a character development. You see characters slowely changing which may be difficult to achieve in short series. Overall, character are quite well written; we have a sadistic 'prince' and his 'victim'. It develops feelings and make you cry. It is difficult  to notice the change as the prince behaviour is twisted which makes it actually really entertaining. The graphics are alright as at first I had a problem with main female's huge, eye-catching eyes and then the appearance of her 'friends'. However, in short amount of time, I got used to it and properly  enjoyed the whole show. This anime cannot be missed as the plot is unique for me as we atcually never see a guy torturing a girl and threat her like trash. It does not look like a beautiful romance, doesn't it?

Plot:
Erika Shinohara at the start of her first year in High School, found difficult to fit in beacuse of her late arrival, everybody was already in groups. However, she gets to know two girls in her class which only talk about their older boyfriends, make up and fashion. To fit in, Erika lies about a boyfriend that she do not have. The girls would like a proof so Erika takes a picture of a handsome, random guy on the street that looks like a model. Back in school, she met her 'friends' again and with proudness, shows them the photo. The girls were shocked. Unfortunately, later on Erika realises that the guy she photographed goes to the same school! To avoid her lie being revealed she talks to the guy. While they talk, the guys kindly agrees to pretend to be her boyfriend. Erika becames happy but not for long as the guy's personality dramatically changes to a sadistic prince that uses her like a dog.

Ao Haru Ride - Review

Genre: Slice of Life / Romance
No. of episodes: 12
My Rate: 8.5/10

As I read manga, I still believe that's a hundred times better than anime. Manga is more in detail and presents the story better. We all know that usually anime adaption of manga are quite awful, yet I think this was actually good. Animation and design are just form of beauty, voice actors are well chosen, story follows manga correctly and for people who didn't read the plot is really good and I love character development so much. Characters are just amazing; everyone is charming. My only objections are that some parts of the story (flashbacks) were just scattered and if I was watching only anime I may not fully understand the charm and importance of the flashback. I also don't like the ending as it seems unfinished (if you haven't read), mainly because the authors wanted to create a short series instead of long one and also manga is still going on.

Plot:
Our main character, Futaba Yoshioka, fell in love with a boy called Kou Tanaka. He's not very muscular and tall, and he doesn't behave like other boys that's why Futaba finds him attractive. One day he invites her for a festival yet he doesn't appear on the assaigned place and when they return to school people said he moved houses. When Futaba begins her Highschool life she changes and she becomes less feminine to push away the boys. She is cute and her looks attracted the boys which made girls (also her friends) became jelous of her, that's why she changed her character. Suddenly she mets Tanaka again as he attends the same highschool yet his surname changes to Mabuchi. He tolds her that she liked her as well in middle school but that was in the past and she should forget about him. Kou says that he's not like he used to be and Futaba agrees with it. Will her feelings for Kou will return?

Sword Art Online - Review

Genre: Action / Adventure / Romance
No. of episodes: 25
My Rate: 8/10

One of the most popular anime which is a pure brilliance. Being stuck in a heartless game? Players came to play not to die in both worlds. I had a negative opinion at some episodes and how the story line have went from third episode on. Big entrence yet the rest going slow and without meaning as a character is introduced and then in different ways dissappears from the anime. Therefore it seemed lika a bunch of fillers and no sign of the plot continuing. The story began dramatic and horrific and in the middle it got even worse. Worth watching til the end? Certainaly YES!

Plot:
Sword Art Online as a massive Virtual Reality Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game that was available to play in November 2022. Yet before hand there was a closed-beta released where only chosen 1,000 players could try it out. One of them was our protagonist 'Kirito'.  Every player logged in on the first try, experiencing beautiful virtual world. To access they needed the NerveGear which scans player's body and stimulates the their five senses so they are able to control the awatar using their mind. Unfortunately the players realised that 'log-out' button disappeared and then the creater of the game, Akihiko Kayaba, announced that the players need to defeat bosses and pass all 100 floors. If they die in SAO, they will die in the reality. The game of survival starts now.........

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (My little Monster) - Review

Genre: Romance / Slice of Life / Comedy
No. of episodes: 13
My rate: 8/10

"Love" ~ It's so simple but hard to express. This anime showed me how it is difficult to confess to someone; do they share the same feeling or not? Will he/she leave me if I confess? That is what the main characters are struggling with. All of them are different, wonderful and unique but presonally sometimes I find them annoying as how they behave which made me lower the 'rate' for this anime. In addition for me everything began too fast and haven't properly ended, however it wasn't that bad as humour was excellent as well as the romantic stuff!!

Plot:
The main character; Shizuku Mizutani only AND only cares about studing and getting the highest marks from everyone. She has no friends at all and she doesn't care if she will have any as she prefers to be alone. At first day of Highschool her classmate; Haru Yoshida picks up a fight and got suspended, however he hadn't returned to school since then. The teacher asked her if she would deliver some notes to him and ask him to return back to school. She wasn't very pleased but she do it, however the boy jumped at her aggressively and suspect her as being a 'spy'. She denies and replied that 'she doesn't care' as she done what she was ask to. The boy was amused and began considering her as a 'friend' because it was a pleasant gesture from a classmate that he never experienced.

Elfen Lied - Review

Genre: Action / Drama / Horror / Romance / Physchological Thriller
No. of episodes: 13
My Rate: 9/10

The opening from the beginning makes me feel nostalagic and sad - I don't know why. I was expecting just an anime that concentrates on blood and loose body parts as I experienced lots of disappointment when watching anime with my high expectations. Yet, the plot is truly amazing! I watched all episodes in one go with tears in my eyes. Maybe there's a bit of nudity and boobs (which I'm not a fan of) from time to time but I don't mind! However if you can't stand flying body parts or don't like nudity I will recommend you to think before watching.

Plot:
Story begins when pink-haired girl with horns called Lucy (subject of experiments) escapes from a laboratory situated beside the seacoast of Kamakura. She escaped by killing all the guards and other people who stand in her way using her suprnatural powers, additional yet invisible hands. When escaping her head was hurt as a result of sniper bullet. She is later found on the beach by two students Yuka and Kouta. HoweverLucy got amnesia and became a sweet little girl insted of a sadistic monster. She can only say one word - "Nyu". Students toke her home, yet the members of the laboratory are trying to get her - alive or not! Later is found that Lucy is a 'Diclonius', a human but with little horns on the head, but is able to control 'vectors' - arms that come from the back that can became powerful weaapons.

Sukitte Ii na yo (Say 'I love you') - Review

Genre: Romance / Slice of Life / Drama
No. of episodes: 13
My rate: 9/10

Life is difficult no matter what. This anime concentrates on nearly all life problems that teenagers and even younger childern and adults have. Love, friendship, popularity and appearance problems. This light, nicely designed anime, is a great representation of people who needed to handle with these pitful problems. Characters are really good but some of the times I got anoyed 'cause of their behaviour, however that's how we really behave. That's why I really liked this anime as it's TRUE concept of how we feel in daily life.

Plot:
It concentrates on a quiet, lonely girl Tachigana Mei, who doesn't have any friends at all. She prefers being by herself as it will protect her from being hurt by 'friends' She doesn't belive that people aren't fake as a result of her past experiences. However she accidentally kicks the most popular boy in the school who is adored by lots of female students - Kurosawa Yamato. He then started to have interest on her and tries to be friend with Mei. Despite of this Mei doesn't know how to have a person to hang out with or to talk to therefore she slowely opens heart to other people.

My rate: 4.5/10

Well.......that was suprising. A boy who just have very high requirements about girls and still don't know how to treat them. That is not very good sign. If you are looking for a good anime, well it's the wrong shelf you're looking on. Try different anime as this anime is messed up totally D:

Diabolik Lovers - Review

Genre: Romance / Vampires / Harem
No. of episodes: 12 (15min each)
My rate: 6/10

Graphics are just beautiful. That is the most positive thing in the anime. Whereas boys........sexy. Of course as they are vampires! I would like to be surrounded by them but I never want to be a human as they would only see me as a 'source of blood' same as the main female potagonist. That's the negative point that will make you quitting it. Every bloody scene is with them sucking the main character's blood. Well at least there's insane Kanato which I adore!

Plot:

The main character is Yui Komori who moves school and houses  due to her fathers (is a priest) work. The school that she attends is a nigh school, and their are rumours that vampires attend the school. When she knocked at the house she supposed to live in, no-one answers. It was a rainy and she decides to enter the house. In the hall she saw a good-looking young man sleeping on the couch, she approched him and see that his heart is not beating. While she wanted to call the ambulance she caches hair and pins her down on the coach. She releases that she woved to a mansion with 6 vampire brothers ~ which suck her blood through the whole anime!

Highschool of the Dead - Review

Genre: Horror / Romance / Adventure / Ecchi

No. of episodes: 12 episodes
My rate: 8.5/10

Are you ready for zombie apocalypse? Anime is really interesting, that you cannot be bored anytime! The action starts straight away in the first episode. If you like zombies, big boobs and violence - this is anime for you. In my opinion there's one minus (one thing that I disliked): to much freaking jumping boobs!

The story start in the Highschool in Japan. It seems like a normal day in school but suddenly something tries to cross the school gates. It was a zombie. Every minute there was more and more of them. The school started to panic. The main characters, highschool students and a nurse, try to survive zombie apocalypse and find their parents which some of them are on the other side of the town.
