Hitsugi no Chaika - Review

Genre: Fantasy / Comedy / Adventure
No. of Episodes: 12
My Rate:7/10

For me it was an average anime; nothing less, nothing more. Of course, I pretty enjoyed it, however I've a deep feeling that something was missing. Ending of this anime isn't really ending anime as there are huge amount of thing to cover, that's why it needs a second season. They should have done one long series, than splitting them into two short ones :/ Well, I'll forgive as the music (especially ending and opening) are beautiful, characters are very likable and somewhat charming, and of course more important the plot is truly good. Yet the pace, for me was kinda slow, and we were slowely bit by bit get a small, tiny piece of information.

Plot:
Toru Acura is saboteur and after the great war ended by the fall of Gaz Empire (in which ruler was Emperor Arthur Gaz), he began to live a lazy life with no special goal. One day, everything changes as he meets a girl in the forest that carried a big coffin on her back. Her name is Chaika Trabant. He saves her from a man-eating unicorn and while she sees his saboteur skills, she offers him a job. She reveals herself as Princess Chaika Gaz who wants to gather her father remains and make him a funeral. In the end Toru and his adopted sister Akari are hired by Chaika yet she is started to be haunted down as people are scared of  possible rebirth of the Gaz Empire and creating another war.

Soul Eater Not! - Review

Genre: Fantasy / Comedy / Action / Supernatural
No. of episodes: 12
My Rate: 6/10

A spin-off of the original Soul Eater which spins around 3 girls which get more annoying each episode in totally different atmosphere. Where's the halloween theme? The darkness? The mystery? It concentrates on friendship, bravery, cuteness and girl-love. From zero to hero. At least the graphics are brilliant and the original characters sometimes appear on the screen! Plus both ending and opening were amazing. A bit of dissappointment however I'm just a big fan of Soul Eater so I keep watching to find something for myself. I mostly felt like watching those 'magical girls' anime, and nearly know what's going to happen. When looking at this anime seperately (without comparing to S.E.) that's what you would expect from an average yuri-typed magical girl anime about friendship........

Plot:
The story concentrates on a brand new character, Tsugumi Harudori, who one day realised that she's a weapon. She joined Shibusen and met 2 girls - Meme Tatane and Anya Hepburn -who are miesters. Three of the girls joined the NOT (Normally Overcome Target) class, where they learn how to use and control their power. The characters of original series are in EAT class (Especially Advanced Talent) which is complete opposite. Tsugumi needs to pick her meisters and learn how to control her power as a weapon. In addition there is trouble coming right ahead.......

Gokukoku no Brynhildr - Review

Genre: Drama / Horror / S-F / Detective
No. of episodes: 13
My Rate: 7/10

Witches with superpowers and aliens........a wierd mash-up with horror and s-f elements, along with some ecchi humour. The whole plot is amazing and unique which are truely amazing! Music and graphic on high level and with quite good characters. Honestly, the mystery behind the orgin of the withes and the problems that occured were extremely engaging. The plot was pulling me in to the anime however step by step the story line got worse. The authors weren't concentrating on the main objective and instead worked more on daily life of the characters, ecchi humour, and drama about "where to get the pills" and the serious stuff were all sqeezed in two last episodes. Therefore my rate got down on this anime....

Plot:
Murakami Ryoko had a childhood friend called Kuroneko, which he was deeply in love. They loved watching the sky at night using the telescope and Kuroneko always repeated that she saw an 'alien' once. However Ryota couldn't believe, so to prove it, she took him where she saw the alien. Unfortunately they fall from the cliff and only Ryota stayed alive. Years have past and Ryota keep watching the stars along with thinking about his first love and dreaming that she could be alive. Then one day, to his school a new girl transfered which looked excatly like his childhood friend yet under other name- Kurohaneko. When approching her (very loudly btw), she repeated multiple times that she doesn't know him and that he must have mistaken her with someone completely different. Afterwards she comes to Ryota's astronomy club, warning him  not to miss the bus or he will die. From curiosity, he misses the bus and walks home however he was nearly squashed by a large puddle of rock and mud yet saved by Kurohaneko who have supernatural powers and calls herself a witch.

Sword Art Online - Review

Genre: Action / Adventure / Romance
No. of episodes: 25
My Rate: 8/10

One of the most popular anime which is a pure brilliance. Being stuck in a heartless game? Players came to play not to die in both worlds. I had a negative opinion at some episodes and how the story line have went from third episode on. Big entrence yet the rest going slow and without meaning as a character is introduced and then in different ways dissappears from the anime. Therefore it seemed lika a bunch of fillers and no sign of the plot continuing. The story began dramatic and horrific and in the middle it got even worse. Worth watching til the end? Certainaly YES!

Plot:
Sword Art Online as a massive Virtual Reality Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game that was available to play in November 2022. Yet before hand there was a closed-beta released where only chosen 1,000 players could try it out. One of them was our protagonist 'Kirito'.  Every player logged in on the first try, experiencing beautiful virtual world. To access they needed the NerveGear which scans player's body and stimulates the their five senses so they are able to control the awatar using their mind. Unfortunately the players realised that 'log-out' button disappeared and then the creater of the game, Akihiko Kayaba, announced that the players need to defeat bosses and pass all 100 floors. If they die in SAO, they will die in the reality. The game of survival starts now.........

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (My little Monster) - Review

Genre: Romance / Slice of Life / Comedy
No. of episodes: 13
My rate: 8/10

"Love" ~ It's so simple but hard to express. This anime showed me how it is difficult to confess to someone; do they share the same feeling or not? Will he/she leave me if I confess? That is what the main characters are struggling with. All of them are different, wonderful and unique but presonally sometimes I find them annoying as how they behave which made me lower the 'rate' for this anime. In addition for me everything began too fast and haven't properly ended, however it wasn't that bad as humour was excellent as well as the romantic stuff!!

Plot:
The main character; Shizuku Mizutani only AND only cares about studing and getting the highest marks from everyone. She has no friends at all and she doesn't care if she will have any as she prefers to be alone. At first day of Highschool her classmate; Haru Yoshida picks up a fight and got suspended, however he hadn't returned to school since then. The teacher asked her if she would deliver some notes to him and ask him to return back to school. She wasn't very pleased but she do it, however the boy jumped at her aggressively and suspect her as being a 'spy'. She denies and replied that 'she doesn't care' as she done what she was ask to. The boy was amused and began considering her as a 'friend' because it was a pleasant gesture from a classmate that he never experienced.
