Noragami - Review

Genre: Fantasy / Comedy / Adventure
No. of Episodes: 13
My Rate: 9/10

The characters did make me watch this anime just because they seem to have interesting personality and back story. Yes! I was right! I just wondered who these three people are to each other, how they met and what is their story - the people were Yukino, Yato and Hiyori. My questions were answered however they exceeded my expectations. How could I know that the girl can be called half-dead and the guys - one God and other his sword. The plot is enjoyable and fascinating. The graphics and animation are amazing so there is no reason not to watch this.

Plot:
Our main, female character Hiyori Iki while walking with her friends, notices a guy wearing a jersey and a scarf, with beautfiul, deep blue eyes. He chases after a cat and gets nearly hit by the car. Hiyori runs for the rescue but instead she is hit. Hiyori is send to hospital and she is alright however there is one difference - she becomes "hanyou" so her soul can leave her body without her noticing. Sometimes her body falls asleep and she wonders around the world as a ghost. Yato, the guy with the jersey, unexpectidly vists her at the hospital explaning everything that has happened and is happening. He introduces himself as a God yet he writes his cell phone number everywhere to get job requests. That is why Hiyori doesn't believe he is an actual God - just a pervert and freak in a jersey. Yato explains he needs moeny to build up his own shrine and to become more known God that would be praised by everyone.

Akame ga Kill - Review

Genre: Adventure / Fantasy / Action
No. of episodes: 24
My rate: 9/10

Everytime new epsiode came out, I straight away took my earphones and click on the link. There were lots of suprises awaiting like unexpected twists, new characters introduced, followed by lots of deaths T^T I got excited and I cried. The plot is extremely interesting as well as the characters, both in the 'bad' side and 'good'. However, both sides may be called 'bad' as to restore peace and happiness in the capital, Night Raid needed to kill authotities. By the way, there was a bloodshed and the fights were extremelly intriguing, keeping tension as you say to yourself - 'Please don't let this character die!'.

Plot:
A warrior called Tatsumi travels to the capital to earn money for his village which lives in poverty. Two of his childhood friends accompanies him yet they went seperate ways. When he reaches his destination, the capital does not reaches his expectations. He fails to join the army, he is robbed and his two childhood friends that accompanied him died. Later he is kidnapped by organisation called Night Raid which are wanted dead by the capital. However, he realises that Night Raid is working for the good of citizens and is not how the capital describes them. Night Raid members kill the authorites who are responsible to the mess in the capital which makes the citizens live in poverty. The main issue is the Prime Minister, who persuades and changes the king of the capital who is just a child and his puppets With his influence, no one can live happily. That is why Tatsumi decided to be the assassin in Night Raid.

Blood Lad - Review

Genre: Comedy / Adventure / Supernatural
No. of episodes: 10
My Rate: 8/10

Suprisely, this anime has a good plot. I thought it will be a parody and comedy, yet it became more interesting and the plot greatly developed. It is really full of humour and nice characters which add so much charm to the series. The serie is not so long and I would recommend it to watch for lazy days. Nice to watch and it drags you in. The story becames more interesting through time.

Plot:
Staz is a vampire and a boss of one of the demon districts. He does not attack humans yet is interested in better stuff, in short; he is an otaku. His room is filled with manga, anime, games, figures and other related stuff. One lucky day, he meets a human girl, Fuyumi Yanagi, moreover she comes from Japan!! He got really a good time, until an intruder attacks his area. While he fights the enemy and saves his allies, the poor girl gets eaten by a huge carnivorous plant. However she becames a ghost and Staz takes a full responsibilty for it so he tries to bring her to life.

Ao Haru Ride - Review

Genre: Slice of Life / Romance
No. of episodes: 12
My Rate: 8.5/10

As I read manga, I still believe that's a hundred times better than anime. Manga is more in detail and presents the story better. We all know that usually anime adaption of manga are quite awful, yet I think this was actually good. Animation and design are just form of beauty, voice actors are well chosen, story follows manga correctly and for people who didn't read the plot is really good and I love character development so much. Characters are just amazing; everyone is charming. My only objections are that some parts of the story (flashbacks) were just scattered and if I was watching only anime I may not fully understand the charm and importance of the flashback. I also don't like the ending as it seems unfinished (if you haven't read), mainly because the authors wanted to create a short series instead of long one and also manga is still going on.

Plot:
Our main character, Futaba Yoshioka, fell in love with a boy called Kou Tanaka. He's not very muscular and tall, and he doesn't behave like other boys that's why Futaba finds him attractive. One day he invites her for a festival yet he doesn't appear on the assaigned place and when they return to school people said he moved houses. When Futaba begins her Highschool life she changes and she becomes less feminine to push away the boys. She is cute and her looks attracted the boys which made girls (also her friends) became jelous of her, that's why she changed her character. Suddenly she mets Tanaka again as he attends the same highschool yet his surname changes to Mabuchi. He tolds her that she liked her as well in middle school but that was in the past and she should forget about him. Kou says that he's not like he used to be and Futaba agrees with it. Will her feelings for Kou will return?

Haikyuu!! - Review

Genre: Sport / Comedy
No. of episodes: 25
My Rate: 9/10

Even someone that actually doesn't like sport can fell in love with this anime (example: me). How can animated volleyball can be so good? I actually don't know how! I think that characters just gave too much charm as everyone of them is precious and unique!! In addition, did you see that animation?! I love how the whole match goes as it makes it not only interesting but also exciting!! It plays with your emotions! Also it contains bunch of humour which will make you cry! The plot is also interesting as it shows the 'fallen' volleyball club which wants to climb higher and higher and become stronger and better.

Plot:
Hinata Shoyo, small ginger-haired boy, one day became really passionate about volleyball. He practised to fullfil his dream, but by himself which didn't really bring any results. In his middle school he was the only memeber of male volleyball club, however he didn't gave up. In addition he was seem as too small for this sport. One day he got a chance to play his first match so he gathered his friends and told them the basics as they literally didn't know how to play. Unfortunately, their first group of opponents had a genius player which was Kageyama Tobio - 'King of the Court'. Hinata's team didn't got even a small chance to win, despite of this Hinata was acknowledge as his speed and his ability to jump was beyond imagination. Kageyama asked furiously where was he all along. Hinata decided to practise more often on his own, with his friends and female volleyball club to beat the 'King of the Court'. When he moved to Karasuno Highschool, he wanted to join their volleyball club and then participate in tournaments and beat his rival. Unfortunately, his rival joined the same school and also wants to join the same club. How can you defeat a person if he will be your teammate?

Tokyo Ghoul - Review

Genre: Action / Drama / Horror / Supernatural
No. of episodes: 12
My Rate: 8.5/10

Cannibalism. That's one word that can describe this anime. I actually enjoyed watching as it hit me right in the feels. It's not like all Ghouls like to eat people! All they wish for is to have a normal life and be accepted into the society, however all 'normal' people are against ghouls, that's why they have to hide and wear masks. The opening breaks my heart as it seem like the person singing is in pain especially at the beginning. Perfect Choice of Song!! In addition they can't enjoy food and can only survive while eating human flesh. Let's move to the graphics - beautful and amazing, however why did they censored everything?? Sometimes you don't actually see what's happening 'cause whole screen is black!!

Plot:
Kaneki Ken is a normal college student who has a great passion towards books. One day, in a coffee shop called Anteiku he meets beautiful, purpled haired women - Rize. Kaneki wents on the date with her and realises that he shares the same interest as her. At the end of the day, when they walked back home, she attacks him. Powerless Kaneki, realises that she's a ghoul - a human-like person who lives by eating human flesh. Suprisely, Kaneki survives event though he nearly got eaten and was crushed by falling platform along with Rize. Kaneki survived as Rize's organs were transplanted to him. Unfortunately, he became a one-eye ghoul, unable to control himself. Kaneki doesn't want to be a ghoul and eat people but how can he survive?

Hitsugi no Chaika - Review

Genre: Fantasy / Comedy / Adventure
No. of Episodes: 12
My Rate:7/10

For me it was an average anime; nothing less, nothing more. Of course, I pretty enjoyed it, however I've a deep feeling that something was missing. Ending of this anime isn't really ending anime as there are huge amount of thing to cover, that's why it needs a second season. They should have done one long series, than splitting them into two short ones :/ Well, I'll forgive as the music (especially ending and opening) are beautiful, characters are very likable and somewhat charming, and of course more important the plot is truly good. Yet the pace, for me was kinda slow, and we were slowely bit by bit get a small, tiny piece of information.

Plot:
Toru Acura is saboteur and after the great war ended by the fall of Gaz Empire (in which ruler was Emperor Arthur Gaz), he began to live a lazy life with no special goal. One day, everything changes as he meets a girl in the forest that carried a big coffin on her back. Her name is Chaika Trabant. He saves her from a man-eating unicorn and while she sees his saboteur skills, she offers him a job. She reveals herself as Princess Chaika Gaz who wants to gather her father remains and make him a funeral. In the end Toru and his adopted sister Akari are hired by Chaika yet she is started to be haunted down as people are scared of  possible rebirth of the Gaz Empire and creating another war.

Soul Eater Not! - Review

Genre: Fantasy / Comedy / Action / Supernatural
No. of episodes: 12
My Rate: 6/10

A spin-off of the original Soul Eater which spins around 3 girls which get more annoying each episode in totally different atmosphere. Where's the halloween theme? The darkness? The mystery? It concentrates on friendship, bravery, cuteness and girl-love. From zero to hero. At least the graphics are brilliant and the original characters sometimes appear on the screen! Plus both ending and opening were amazing. A bit of dissappointment however I'm just a big fan of Soul Eater so I keep watching to find something for myself. I mostly felt like watching those 'magical girls' anime, and nearly know what's going to happen. When looking at this anime seperately (without comparing to S.E.) that's what you would expect from an average yuri-typed magical girl anime about friendship........

Plot:
The story concentrates on a brand new character, Tsugumi Harudori, who one day realised that she's a weapon. She joined Shibusen and met 2 girls - Meme Tatane and Anya Hepburn -who are miesters. Three of the girls joined the NOT (Normally Overcome Target) class, where they learn how to use and control their power. The characters of original series are in EAT class (Especially Advanced Talent) which is complete opposite. Tsugumi needs to pick her meisters and learn how to control her power as a weapon. In addition there is trouble coming right ahead.......

Gokukoku no Brynhildr - Review

Genre: Drama / Horror / S-F / Detective
No. of episodes: 13
My Rate: 7/10

Witches with superpowers and aliens........a wierd mash-up with horror and s-f elements, along with some ecchi humour. The whole plot is amazing and unique which are truely amazing! Music and graphic on high level and with quite good characters. Honestly, the mystery behind the orgin of the withes and the problems that occured were extremely engaging. The plot was pulling me in to the anime however step by step the story line got worse. The authors weren't concentrating on the main objective and instead worked more on daily life of the characters, ecchi humour, and drama about "where to get the pills" and the serious stuff were all sqeezed in two last episodes. Therefore my rate got down on this anime....

Plot:
Murakami Ryoko had a childhood friend called Kuroneko, which he was deeply in love. They loved watching the sky at night using the telescope and Kuroneko always repeated that she saw an 'alien' once. However Ryota couldn't believe, so to prove it, she took him where she saw the alien. Unfortunately they fall from the cliff and only Ryota stayed alive. Years have past and Ryota keep watching the stars along with thinking about his first love and dreaming that she could be alive. Then one day, to his school a new girl transfered which looked excatly like his childhood friend yet under other name- Kurohaneko. When approching her (very loudly btw), she repeated multiple times that she doesn't know him and that he must have mistaken her with someone completely different. Afterwards she comes to Ryota's astronomy club, warning him  not to miss the bus or he will die. From curiosity, he misses the bus and walks home however he was nearly squashed by a large puddle of rock and mud yet saved by Kurohaneko who have supernatural powers and calls herself a witch.

Sword Art Online - Review

Genre: Action / Adventure / Romance
No. of episodes: 25
My Rate: 8/10

One of the most popular anime which is a pure brilliance. Being stuck in a heartless game? Players came to play not to die in both worlds. I had a negative opinion at some episodes and how the story line have went from third episode on. Big entrence yet the rest going slow and without meaning as a character is introduced and then in different ways dissappears from the anime. Therefore it seemed lika a bunch of fillers and no sign of the plot continuing. The story began dramatic and horrific and in the middle it got even worse. Worth watching til the end? Certainaly YES!

Plot:
Sword Art Online as a massive Virtual Reality Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game that was available to play in November 2022. Yet before hand there was a closed-beta released where only chosen 1,000 players could try it out. One of them was our protagonist 'Kirito'.  Every player logged in on the first try, experiencing beautiful virtual world. To access they needed the NerveGear which scans player's body and stimulates the their five senses so they are able to control the awatar using their mind. Unfortunately the players realised that 'log-out' button disappeared and then the creater of the game, Akihiko Kayaba, announced that the players need to defeat bosses and pass all 100 floors. If they die in SAO, they will die in the reality. The game of survival starts now.........

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (My little Monster) - Review

Genre: Romance / Slice of Life / Comedy
No. of episodes: 13
My rate: 8/10

"Love" ~ It's so simple but hard to express. This anime showed me how it is difficult to confess to someone; do they share the same feeling or not? Will he/she leave me if I confess? That is what the main characters are struggling with. All of them are different, wonderful and unique but presonally sometimes I find them annoying as how they behave which made me lower the 'rate' for this anime. In addition for me everything began too fast and haven't properly ended, however it wasn't that bad as humour was excellent as well as the romantic stuff!!

Plot:
The main character; Shizuku Mizutani only AND only cares about studing and getting the highest marks from everyone. She has no friends at all and she doesn't care if she will have any as she prefers to be alone. At first day of Highschool her classmate; Haru Yoshida picks up a fight and got suspended, however he hadn't returned to school since then. The teacher asked her if she would deliver some notes to him and ask him to return back to school. She wasn't very pleased but she do it, however the boy jumped at her aggressively and suspect her as being a 'spy'. She denies and replied that 'she doesn't care' as she done what she was ask to. The boy was amused and began considering her as a 'friend' because it was a pleasant gesture from a classmate that he never experienced.

Free! - Review

Genre: Sports / Slice of Life
No. of episodes: 12
My Rate: 9/10

Water, half-naked boys and good plot? It seems impossible yet I think it came out very good. The story is very interesting and also the times when they compete with others was so exciting! Even though sometimes I see the characters as 'gay' XD I feel like I extremely enjoyed watching the series and especially their friendship and team work!! However it seems like the target audience for this is girls. Well 'gay' boys in swimming suits with abs :D not really a target for boys.......

Plot:
A group of boys; Haruka Nanase, Nagisa Hazuki and Makoto Tachibana were participating in a Iwatobi swimming club in their primary school. A transfer student Rin Matsuoka joined their class and the same club and become their friend. After winning the tournament Rin went to train in Australia and other boys separated and do what they want to do. So the story settles when they attend Highschool. Haru quitted competitive swimming for unknown reason and always repeats "I swim free", however Nagisa came out with an idea to open up a swimming club and swim togather again. At the same time they see Rin who came back from Australia but he changed........... Does the club will be a success and Haru will want to join it? What happened to Haru and Rin?

 Screenshots:

Note: Characters introduced are not gay but they may seem like it as a result of their behaviour overall and actions towards their guy-friends. I'm not intending to offend anything or anyone :)

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (AnoHana) - Review

Genre: Drama / Slice of Life / Tragedy
No. of Episodes: 11
My rate: 10/10

We all remember our childhood memories and we all probably want to go back to that times. Well, the anime concentrates on the tragedy that happen between a group of children who played togather. Very original story, full of sadness which will make you cry. Yeah, I cried a lot while watching, but the feelings to the characters grew stronger and stronger and I felt like I'm one of these friends who lost a precious friend. It's simply too emotional as it's not only concentrating on the loss of friend, but also parent's feelings, bullying, loneliness and love problems.

Plot:
The story is centered round a group of six children who always played togather and were members of 'Super Peace Busters'. They had a small self made house in the forest. One day one of the children - Menma died in an accident. After this the group got separted and stopped conacting each other wahtsoever. One day the leader of the group; Jintan mets the gost of Menma however he's just telling himself that it's just hallucinations caused by stress as he hasn't passed his exams and doesn't attend school. Menma forgoted everything however she feels that she just wants her friends to fullfil her wish so she can go to heaven.
